About

Tramico Herman always desired to be a nurse, she remember telling her 6th-grade class this
on career day and stuck with it. She gravitated to the healthcare field because she:

• Was inspired by her younger sister who has Cerebral Palsy, feeling gratification when caring
for her and learning the significance of real moments.

• Experienced first-hand, lack of healthcare education and resources in her community challenged by low socioeconomics.

• Witnessed how mental illness was not embraced or understood leaving many suffering rejection in specific cultures.

• Empathized for the elderly population with multiple conditions and poor circumstances
no longer valued in our society.

Tramico Herman began her nursing career leading hospital Medical-Surgical and Intensive
Care units as a charge nurse providing care and executing physician care plan to multiple complex patients. She led a team of nurses, unit clerks, and nursing assistants.

After 5 years of working in hospitals, she evaluated her career and decided to perform nursing in a different atmosphere. She had the opportunity to collaborate with nurse leaders leading pharmaceutical, healthcare insurance, and public health organizations for insights. She leveraged their guidance and transitioned to healthcare administration with a focus on Care Management, Utilization Management, and Population Health. She accepted a position at a large health plan as a frontline care manager/utilization review nurse providing education and care coordination to patients, helping them move to a healthier lifestyle while decreasing their overall healthcare utilization spend. She later advanced to leadership roles as Team Lead and Project Manager, enhancing operations, managing large teams’ performance, developing strategies for processes improvements, reducing employee turnover, and supporting recruitment and quality compliance with executive leaders.

In addition, she functioned in other roles, including Director, Senior Project Manager, Manager, and Principal Consultant.

She is passionate about healthcare, leadership and personal development and always worked hard to improve her skills hoping to close some of the most critical gaps impacting our communities’ access and quality of care. Her journey has:

• Positively impacted her immediate family, friends and community through mentoring and guidance.
• Collegiate-wise, she had the opportunity to train thousands of staff on effective operations and role execution, improve millions of members’ lives related to effective Care Management program delivery, and helped clients save over $50 million of lost revenue.
